• Qualified as a dentist at Kings College Hospital Dental School at the University of London in December 1971.
• Practice orthodontic treatment for forty four years and has become familiar with all techniques in particular the Biobloc technique integrated with an emphasis on techniques to establish nasal breathing to improve growth and development of the growing child, focusing on health, the face and the orthodontic stability rather than orthodontic excellence.
• Was the first to adopt his clinic to MRC Clinics in October 2009 and then the newer Myobrace Pre-orthodontic Center in July 2014.
• Is a Certified Breathing Practitioner and a Buteyko Breathing Practitioner who has lectured on “Myofunctional Influences on Facial Growth and The Dentition” in 67 countries in the last 25 years.
• Diagnosis First: Identifying Disordered Breathing and Poor Cranial Growth
• Why crooked teeth are a sign of poor cranial growth, not just dental crowding
• The role of oral posture, tongue position and breathing in facial development
• Chair-side diagnostic signs in children and adults
• Identifying early cases in the mixed dentition and adults with airway or TMJ issues
• Deciding who to treat early, who to monitor and who to refer.
• Starting Treatment on Monday: Breathing, Oral Posture and MRC Appliances
• Why treatment must begin with function rather than mechanics
• Nasal breathing as the foundation for craniofacial growth and health
• Introducing breathing screening and the MRC exercise sequence
• Selecting and using MRC / Myobrace appliances in early cases
• Implementing a system that can be applied in practice from Monday

• Graduated in dentistry in Pavia in 2007.
• Started using Myobrace devices in 2011, becoming the first Myobrace Certified Provider in Italy and the first certified Myobrace Educator in Italy.
• An international lecturer for Myofunctional Research Co. in Italy and Europe, teaching the MRC treatment protocol.
• His Myobrace cases are studied and researched by the School of Orthodontics of the University of Insubria.
• His vision of “Healing Malocclusion” places the correction of the dysfunction at the centre of the treatment, using Myolay and the Bent Wire System for sagittal and transverse problems, and 2D lingual or bracketless orthodontics when appropriate, for predictable and stable results.
• Is a member of SIDO (Italian Society of Orthodontics) and DDS (Digital Dentistry Society).
This presentation explores the evolution from the Bio-progressive philosophy to Myofunctional Orthodontics, shifting the focus from symptomatic dental correction to the resolution of etiological causes. Drawing on direct clinical experience, I will illustrate cases validated by scientific articles based on my own work, documenting the tangible morphometric and morphological changes achieved. We will demonstrate how the integration of myofunctional therapy must not be a mere accessory, but the true engine of orthodontic treatment: by correcting breathing and muscle function, we achieve harmonic craniofacial development and long-term stability impossible with mechanics alone.
Abstract Compliance is the most critical variable in the success of myofunctional therapy. In this session, we will explore an advanced protocol that enhances the Myobrace️ system (Activities, Educator, and dedicated spaces) through the integration of emerging technologies. We will discuss how the use of Artificial Intelligence, electromyography for objective functional assessment, and remote monitoring systems have revolutionized patient management, particularly for distance treatments. These innovations allow us to transform patient compliance from an unknown into a measurable constant, ensuring predictable results in muscle re-education.

• Joined Myofunctional Research Co. Europe in 2013. As a Training Consultant he provides support to Dental and Orthodontic specialists and their teams in various countries when implementing Myofunctional Orthodontic treatments.
• Provides lectures, introductory and advanced courses and holds in-house training sessions. The training sessions are for practitioners and staff and they focus on Consultation, Evaluation and practical implementation of Myobrace, Myosa and TMJBDS treatments for kids and adults.
• Is also a Myobrace Educator and helps set-up treatment protocol, Myobrace Activities program and Myobrace Member and Certified Provider practices.
